![]() ![]() I rarely give 5 stars but this truly deserves it – Thai service at its best. It lived up to every expectation and then some. I recently had the pleasure of a week long stay there as a special birthday come graduation treat for my daughter. It’s difficult to find enough superlatives to describe the experience of staying at Six Senses Koh Yao Noi. Even though I forbade it to go there for anyone, I wouldn't miss the chance to go there another time. Once you get there to this beautiful land, you will get just if it. Overall my experience was beautiful, BUT, only what confused me the management idea of SIX SENSES as a whole to make it more of a revenue or time restricted enjoyment resort. Oh what a luxurious yet relaxing feel! Each guest is allocated a experience manager or a GEM, ours was Anne, who took care of our experience, she helped plan out our days and activities over there. You can imagine yourself, taking up a sip from your chilled pina colada, experiencing the wind touching your face and watching the sunset over the islands at the rooftop pool on the hilltop. The resort is very specially curated to look as a gateway and live in another world. This hotel had various places to explore and many activities to take up while your stay. I was extremely amazed by the property! We had booked a hideaway two bedroom pool villa, tired of staying upfront on the beaches at Phuket, we would have admired for a niche of greenery and it was there. My first touchpoint with the brand six senses has introduced me to a new type of hotel stays. Its a place where relaxation knows no bounds. At first the price for 4 people seemed quite hefty but it was completely worth it. Housekeeping is also quite remarkable - I loved the "turn down" service where they pull down all your shades and set up the mosquito net. I was most impressed by the wine cellar, the mosquito kits and sprays, and after sun products that are essential after a day at the beach. In terms of room amenities, you practically have everything you need in the rooms. Food quality and service was consistently great. We really appreciate Pla, the restaurant manager, who gave such amazing recommendations and made us feel so welcomed at every meal. You are met with exceptional hospitality in the restaurants as well. It was amazing to just connect with one person throughout the whole stay, which made the experience hassle free and comforting. Our GEM, Tabtim, was truly a GEM, who helped us schedule / select our activities in the resort, and helped us plan Mom's surprise birthday dinner. Six Senses have a GEM (Guest Experience Manager) system where he/she is the go-to person during your stay. We are usually not a fan of these activities but we were impressed with the level of professionalism and flexibility to adjust to our family's needs and schedule. Our family (we are all grown ups.) really enjoyed the spa, the amazing breakfast, and we ventured ourselves to try flying yoga and Muay Thai (Thai Boxing). We loved just chilling at our beautiful villa but we also really liked how there were many activities to choose from. I really liked how this resort felt quite private - you don't have to be around many people and the resort itself is quite spacious. ![]() From arrival to check out, all of our family members truly felt we were taken care of - in a way that was not intrusive and truly thoughtful. I was most impressed with the level of hospitality from the Six Senses staff. ![]() I usually don't write reviews on TripAdvisor but this place really deserve one! The location is absolutely beautiful - what you see in the pictures is what you get. If you have an opportunity to stay dont think twice. ![]() It is to be expected as this place really has perfected the blend of commercial luxury entwined in nature but experiencing it is something else. We had booked to dine al fresco one evening but ended up back inside the main restaurant as we were being mauled by mosquitoes outside - no exaggeration. The only negative is the number of mosquitoes there are so you have to be well prepared. They even arranged a lovely boat trip to the Phi phi islands where we were able to go snorkelling. From the luxury speedboat transfer from Phuket to the lovely welcome from our butler who was on hand to assist with any queries Six Senses did not let us down. The huge villas are built into the jungle-like vegetation of the island hilltops and the views of those miniature islands bursting across the horizon are out of this world. We celebrated our first wedding anniversary at Yao Noi and were absolutely blown away by the surreal beauty and outstanding quality of this boutique island resort. ![]()
