She grew up attending school and graduated from the Albia High School with the Class of 1945. Adrienne Joyce Williams, age 96, of Hiteman, IA, passed away on Saturday, June 10, 2023, at the Oskaloosa Care Center in Oskaloosa, IA.Īdrienne was born on April 7, 1927, at home in Lucas County to Almon Leroy and Mable (Manley) McCann. Surviving is a son, Angel Buckles of Ottumwa a brother, Brian "Rusty” (Peg) Esty of Kansas 3 nephews, Ian Thomas of Kansas, Michael Thomas of Ottumwa and David Esty 2 nieces, Laura Lee (Jon) of Creston and Shauna Jansen a grandson, Christian Buckles a granddaughter, Samantha Thomason (Chris) of Bloomfield a daughter-in-law, Michelle of Florida many grandchildren and great grandchildren. Linda and Ralph moved to Ottumwa in 1995, they fostered many children and adopted 2 legally, but many more in their hearts. Linda loved serving the Lord and bringing people to the Lord. She was a Sunday School teacher, Women’s Bible Study leader, children’s choir teacher along with many other things. The two churches she felt most at home were Lighthouse and Southside Pentecostal Church of God. She was a member and pioneer of many churches and one of those was Lighthouse in which she ran the bus ministry. Linda attended Pinkerton Academy as a child. on Augand he preceded her in death on January 26, 2007. She was born Jin Derry, New Hampshire to Leonard and Ruth Waters Thomas. Reverend Christopher Williams is preceded in eternal rest by his father, Eddie Wellington Williams, Sr.OTTUMWA – Linda Mae Buckles, 76, of Ottumwa passed away at 11 a.m. He worked at Oshman’s Sporting Goods until he began his career with the United States Postal Service, where he worked for many years until his well-deserved retirement in 2009. He also published several other books of poetry about his life and life with Christ.Ĭhristopher graduated from Ross Shaw Sterling High School in 1973 and later attended tax preparation and business courses with H&R Block. He was an accomplished poet who used his God-given talent to publish and captivate readers with his literary masterpiece “Canticle Majesty”. Reverend Christopher Williams accepted his call into the ministry and was ordained as a minister by Pastor Gusta Booker, Sr. As a dedicated father, Christopher nurtured and faithfully provided for his children, Tukestia and Marcus. In 1993 Christopher married the love of his life, Gwendolyn, and together they shared a bond that endured for over 30 years. He was a great Bible scholar, teacher, and brother. Christopher was bold for Christ, unafraid to tell everyone about God’s gift to the world, and how believers in Jesus Christ will have eternal life. He taught Scriptures in Brotherhood, Singles Ministry, and was an active member of the Post Office Bible Class. Matthew Church and eventually became Superintendent of the Sunday School. Once he reached adulthood, he joined Greater St. As a teenager, he taught Sunday School at church at home, he taught his siblings about Christ. He committed his life to Christ at an early age. Christopher led a life filled with purpose and passion. Born in Houston, Texas on January 5, 1955, he was the fourth of eight children to Eddie and Nora Williams. Reverend Christopher Van Williams, 68, went home to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Friday, July 7, 2023.
